Captain Ed Jerome > Voted "Best of the Vineyard"
Fishing Charter Captains by Martha's Vineyard Magazine
multiple years in a row!
Martha’s Vineyard is perhaps the best fishing destination on the East
Coast and fishing onboard the 32’ Wayfarer with seasoned Captain Ed Jerome
will make it an experience to remember. Big striped bass and bluefish arrive
in mid May and stay through October. Large “doormat” fluke are best in
July and August. The “speedsters”, bonito and false albacore, heat up
in mid August and stay through October. In mid September through mid October,
the premier fishing tournament on the East Coast, the Annual Martha’s Vineyard
Striped Bass and Bluefish Derby takes place on the Vineyard and who better
to fish the tournament with than its President for more than two decades,
Captain Ed Jerome.
The Captain's Weekly Fishing Report > May 2013
Welcome to the 2013 season. Martha's Vineyard is currently experiencing another great squid season. With this much bait here, it can only predict a very good year for fishing. The Island is alive with all sizes of stripers up to 20 pounds. They are still feeding close to the beach so surf fishing is your best bet. The big fish haven't arrived yet, but are due any day. Bluefish arrived in small numbers this week and black bass fishing is off to a great start. Hope to see you all soon!
It doesn’t matter whether you are an experienced angler or a beginner, a family or an individual; each trip is customized to meet your abilities and experience. If fishing isn’t your thing, but being on the water is, try our harbor sunset cruise in the historical Edgartown Harbor, one of the former great towns of the Whaling Era. Cruises for dinner parties, weddings and special events are always enjoyable on the Wayfarer. So, make your plans soon and come to Martha’s Vineyard for the fishing experience of a lifetime or a scenic cruise onboard the Wayfarer with Captain Ed Jerome.
